Vote Anna Remenik for Mayor in the Township of Langley on October 20, 2018.
A Mayor Who Listens
I’ve lived and worked in Langley Township for many years; Walnut Grove in the 1990s, and Brookswood and Murrayville since 2007. My son was born at LMH. You may know me as Anna R.
I’m committed to public service, and am an active community-builder in the Township. The foundation of my approach is meaningful consultation, based on active listening and seeking solutions through respectful dialogue. For several years, I’ve participated in various delegations, speaking to mayor and council. I’ve attended regular council meetings and public hearings.
During this time, I’ve listened to engaged residents, parents, grandparents, students, business owners, horse enthusiasts, farmers, and community groups throughout the Township. I’ve heard your concerns, and I’ve seen firsthand the stress that accompanies uncertainty, poor infrastructure, increased crime, and community services that are challenged and over capacity.
I've gathered feedback from contractors and developers. I have attended meetings with staff from other municipalities in BC, to better serve my community and to gain a comparison of what the process looks like elsewhere.
My goals include prioritizing safety and preserving our quality of life, creating sustainable and vibrant communities, while protecting farmland and the ALR, and effectively managing and valuing our natural resources.
